Welcome Back

It was fantastic to see everyone back on court this week. The Rebels Reset clearly worked, the squad came in Reloaded and Ready to Rise! We wrapped up the week with 4 wins and 1 draw. A huge shoutout to all our players and coaches for kicking off the term strong. Your energy, effort, and teamwork are what make this club so special. Awesome job all round!

A big thank you to Ben Melville (one of our awesome Rebels dads) for stepping in as Junior Girls coach while Coach Shannon is away. We appreciate the support, and congrats on coaching the team to a win this week! 👏🏽🏀

Fundraising - Let’s Go, Rebels!

We’re kicking off Term 3 fundraising by running the Game Day Canteen at Mansfield on Friday 2 August!

All funds raised go straight back into the club to:

🔹 Invest in players and the Rebels community

Rebels Fundraising – Help wanted!

This term we’ve got some exciting fundraising events happening to support our amazing Rebels community

We’re kicking things off on Saturday 2nd August, running the canteen at Mansfield SHS during the Saturday games, and we need your help!

How you can support:

✔️ Volunteer an hour or two of your time

✔️ Bake something yummy for our bake sale

✔️ Make up lolly bags to sell

✔️ Donate canned drinks

✔️ Donate bread & rolls for our hot food

We will be collecting donations at training on Mondays. For baked goods, we can organise a pick-up or drop-off point to make it easy for you.

Every little bit helps! Please let your team manager, coach, or a committee member know how you’d like to contribute.

As a fully volunteer-run club, every dollar raised goes straight back into:

🔹 Keeping fees low

🔹 Developing our volunteer coaches & supporting player growth

🔹 Creating events for our Rebel Squad

🔹 Getting the equipment we need

Welcome Back, Rebels!

We hope everyone had a great break! Even though it’s been holidays, there’s still been plenty of basketball action happening, and we’ve been loving the updates!

A huge shoutout to our U14 Rebels Rep players who travelled to Cairns and Townsville over the break to compete at State Champs. We’ve heard some awesome stories and seen some incredible basketball across the board.

Special congratulations to the U14 players who came home with a GOLD MEDAL. What an incredible way to wrap up the rep season. Rebels proud!

Back to Training

We’re excited to get back on court and into the swing of Term 3, especially in our founding season!

Training resumes Monday at Capalaba:

Juniors: 5–6pm

Youth League 6- 7pm

All teams have games this week, fixtures are now live on Basketball Connect and your team pages, so check in and get ready for a full week of hoops.
